Triplet Cakes

A friend of mine came up to me with a big grin to tell me she was pregnant, and she'd just found out that she was having twins. It was exciting and fun news, especially since I'm into twins (for some reason). 

The next time I saw her, she'd had another ultrasound and her twins had become three! One of the embryos had split and now she had triplets on the way. 

I suggestest at that point that she not have any more ultrasounds.

Of course I had to help throw a baby shower for her. So I made the cakes, and I had a good time with them. I used fondant to mold babies and their little behinds sticking out from beneath a quilt. Making their little toes and pudgy feet and dimpled knees was so much fun. Sometimes I think I would enjoy a cake-making service. And then I come to my senses. So I won't be doing this again. You can just enjoy the results with me. :) (BTW, she had three girls and all were healthy and fine.)
